The research study is entitled Political Rights in Palestine: Between the Anvil of Internal Political Divide and Prospects of National Reconciliation, the research paper particularly explores legal regulation of political rights in light of international,

regional and local conventions. It investigates the current context of political rights, highlighting reflections of the internal Palestinian political divide on these rights. The paper looks for potential solutions to promote and consolidate political rights within the Palestinian legal system. In addition to reviewing and developing the Palestinian legal framework, the research paper envisages how an institutional role of relevant civil society actors and human rights organizations can be enhanced and strengthened. The research exercise is concluded with informed recommendations that contribute to improving the legal framework and current status of political rights across the Palestinian territory.
