Project Management Professional for Anti-Corruption Actors

Birzeit: On Monday, 2 September 2013, the Institute of Law (IoL) at Birzeit University organised a training workshop on Project Management Professional for Anti-Corruption Actors.

The training is a component of the Anti-Corruption Capacity Building Assistance in Palestine Project, implemented in partnership and cooperation between the IoL and Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC), High Judicial Council (HJC) and Public Prosecution.

The project is designed to support Palestinian anti-corruption actors and provide capacity building to relevant staff. A total of 19 administrative staff members of the PACC, Anti-Corruption Prosecution team, and HJC took part in the training activity. In his opening remarks, Mr. Fares Mujahed, representative of the PACC, commended the close cooperation between the IoL, PACC, HJC and Public Prosecution in implementation of many joint programmes and projects. According to Mr. Mujahed, the workshop would enhance skills and provide capacity building to staff members of anti-corruption agencies.

Advocate Mu’een al Barghouthi, representative of the IoL, stated that this exercise was tailored to provide capacity building to enable national institutions to consolidate anti-corruptions efforts and processes. The workshop covered several training themes, including project management life cycle, proposal writing, planning, quality control standards, and monitoring and evaluation techniques.
