Protocol and Rules of Procedure for Meetings and Conferences

Ramallah: On Tuesday, 10 September 2013, the Institute of Law (IoL) at Birzeit University organised a training workshop on Protocol and Rules of Procedure for Meetings and Conferences. The training is a component of the Anti-Corruption Capacity Building Assistance in Palestine Project,

implemented in partnership and cooperation between the IoL and Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC), High Judicial Council (HJC) and Public Prosecution.

The project is designed to support Palestinian anti-corruption actors and provide capacity building to relevant staff. This exercise is one activity of a specialised training programme targeting administrative staff members of the PACC, Anti-Corruption Prosecution team, and HJC. A total of 15 staff members of the target groups attached the training event.

The training workshop addressed several topics, including concept, types and rules of procedure for meetings and conferences; necessary factors for a successful meeting and conference; and rules of protocol and etiquette for official meetings and banquets.

The Anti-Corruption Capacity Building Assistance in Palestine Project is implemented over the period from April through late December 2013. Tailored to promote accountability and combat corruption in Palestine, the project is part of a joint programme of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and EUPOL COPPS.
