Palestinian Child Law and Bylaws

Abstract

This project basically aims to promote the performance of Palestinian institutions catering for children in all walks of life. The project also seeks to safeguard all rights granted to children by the Palestinian Basic Law as well as other laws in a manner that matches Palestinian children’s role in the future of Palestine.

In addition, the project aims to promote and protect Palestinian children’s rights by consolidating and coordinating efforts to ensure the good of children. In general, the project seeks to eliminate all forms of legislative obscurity pertaining to the regulation of children’s rights.

  1. Amend the Palestinian Law No. (7) of 2004 Concerning the Children, with Articles 70 and 71 there under in particular.
  2. Establish a higher commission or council that provides care, follows up with and protects children’s affairs.
  3. Regulate functions of this commission or council so as to promote the performance of institutions attending for children.
